As the school year concludes, teachers are inevitably exhausted, but every June, the teachers from our Hillsdale College K-12 member schools get to look forward to attending our annual Summer Conference in Classical Education. Teachers, leaders, and school staff from across the country descend on Hillsdale’s campus ready to learn from the best, engage in great discussions with colleagues from around the network, and get some well-deserved downtime.…

Here at the Barney Charter School Initiative, our curriculum and instruction team is always available to talk to teachers on our affiliated schools. Well, Founders community (and perhaps others!), I am now about a month into my new job here at Hillsdale College. As the Assistant Provost of K-12 Education, I’m in charge of the College’s K-12 education initiatives, including the Barney Initiative, which has been such an important partner for the Founders community for so long.
